DMCA & Copyright Policy
Boot Stream is a file hosting and sharing platform. All files are uploaded by users, who confirm at the point of upload that they hold the rights to the content they share. We do not review or select content before it is published, and we act on valid copyright complaints promptly.
Filing a notice
If you own content that has been uploaded here without your permission, send a notice through the contact form and select Copyright / DMCA notice. Please include:
- The exact link or links you are reporting.
- Identification of the copyrighted work, or a representative list if there are several.
- Your full name, and an email address where we can reach you.
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the owner or authorised to act on the owner's behalf.
You will receive a reference number for every notice you send.
What happens next
Valid notices are actioned within 48 hours. The reported link is disabled and, where the file itself is infringing, it is removed from our storage. The uploader is notified and a strike is recorded against their account.
Repeat infringers
Accounts that receive repeated valid copyright notices are suspended, and their earnings are withheld. This policy is applied regardless of the account's earnings or standing.
Counter-notice
If your file was removed and you believe this was a mistake or a misidentification, you may send a counter-notice through the contact form. Include the link, an explanation of why you believe the removal was in error, and your contact details. We will review and restore the file if the counter-notice is valid.
False claims
Submitting a notice you know to be false may make you liable for damages. Please only report content you own or are authorised to act for.
